SnapPilot Privacy Policy
陈俊融 (referred to as “we,” “us,” or “our”) takes your personal information and privacy seriously. This Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your information, and the rights available to you when you use SnapPilot (the “App”). Please read it carefully before using the App. By continuing to use the App, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- Communications: Contact details and message content that you provide when contacting support or submitting feedback by email.
1.2 Camera and Photo Library
- Camera feed: Used for real-time viewfinder and composition analysis. All analysis is performed locally on your device using Apple Vision and Core ML. The camera feed and your photos are never uploaded to our servers or any third-party server.
- Photo storage: Photos you save are written to the system photo library and remain under your control. We do not read other photos in your photo library.
1.3 Face and Body Feature Data
To provide real-time composition guidance, the App uses Apple’s Vision framework on camera preview frames to detect face bounding boxes, face landmarks, head orientation (yaw, pitch, and roll), and body and hand poses. It combines these results with an on-device Core ML model to calculate composition metrics and produce prompts such as “Raise the phone to eye level” or “Turn toward the window light.” Please note:
- No identity recognition: The App does not create, store, or compare any face template or faceprint. It cannot identify who you are and does not use face data for authentication or unlocking.
- On-device and in-memory only: All processing is performed frame by frame on your device. Each frame’s computed data is discarded when the next frame arrives. It is never written to disk, saved to your photo library, uploaded to any server, or shared with any third party.
- Retention: Face and body feature data exists only for the lifetime of the frame in memory, measured in milliseconds. No face-related data remains after the App closes, so there is no retained face data for you to request that we delete.
- Local usage records contain no face information: The App stores a small amount of usage information on your device to improve its guidance, such as which suggestion was displayed and whether it was followed. These records contain scalar fields only. They do not contain images, landmark coordinates, or face bounding-box coordinates, and they are never uploaded.
- No advertising, profiling, or model training: Face and body feature data is not used for any of these purposes.
1.4 Purchase and Subscription Information
- The App does not require registration or sign-in. Before your first purchase, the App generates an anonymous identifier (app_account_token) on your device to associate your purchase with your subscription status. This identifier does not contain personal identity information such as your name or email address.
- Subscriptions are purchased through Apple In-App Purchase (StoreKit). We receive and verify transaction credentials, transaction identifiers, product identifiers, and subscription status, and associate them with the anonymous identifier above in order to activate and maintain your subscription benefits.
- We do not receive payment information such as your bank card number. Apple processes the entire payment.
1.5 Information Collected Automatically
- Server access logs: When the App communicates with our server to verify an in-app purchase, the server records necessary access logs, such as the IP address and request time, for security and troubleshooting.
- The App does not include analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting components and does not collect device identifiers, contacts, location, or similar information. Usage records in the App remain on your device and are never uploaded.
- Apple provides us with anonymized crash and performance information only if you choose to share it with app developers under iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
1.6 Third-Party SDKs and Services
The App does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDK. All composition analysis is performed locally using Apple system frameworks such as Vision, Core ML, AVFoundation, and Core Motion. The only external services involved are:

2. How We Use Information
- Provide and maintain the App’s core features, including viewfinder composition guidance and assistance for two-person photos and selfies;
- Verify in-app purchases and activate and maintain your subscription benefits;
- Troubleshoot problems, protect security, and improve the product experience;
- Respond to your questions, feedback, and requests to exercise your rights;
- Comply with applicable laws and regulations.
3. Device Permissions

We request these permissions only when you use the relevant features. You can disable them at any time in iOS Settings.
4. How We Share, Transfer, or Disclose Information
- We do not sell your personal information.
- To verify in-app purchases, necessary transaction information is transmitted between our server and Apple.
- Our servers use cloud-computing services provided by Alibaba Cloud (Alibaba Cloud Computing Co., Ltd.). As our service provider, Alibaba Cloud processes information only on our instructions. Our agreement requires it to handle information under this Policy and not to use the information for other purposes.
- We may disclose relevant information when required by law or regulation, or when necessary to protect the lawful rights and interests of users or the public.
5. Storage and Security
- Personal information is stored on servers located within the People’s Republic of China, using Alibaba Cloud nodes in mainland China, and is not transferred outside China. If cross-border transfers become necessary in the future, we will provide notice and obtain your separate consent as required by law.
- We retain personal information only for the shortest period necessary to fulfill the purposes described above, unless a longer period is required by law.
- Face and body feature data is not included in this storage: this data never leaves your device and is never written to any server or storage operated by us or a third party. See Section 1.3.
- We use reasonable safeguards such as encryption in transit and access controls. However, no internet environment can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
6. Your Rights
- Access, copy, correct, or supplement your personal information;
- Delete personal information or withdraw consent you have given;

- Submit a complaint about our processing of personal information.
You can exercise these rights by contacting us through the method at the end of this Policy.
7. Protection of Minors
The App is primarily intended for adults. If you are a minor, please use the App under the guidance of a parent or guardian and obtain their consent before providing personal information to us.
8. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will provide notice of material changes in the App or on this page. The updated Policy takes effect on the date it is published.
